I am absolutely in love with the gold whisk necklace and hand carved wooden spoon. And, during our recent trip to NYC, I purchased several packets of arugula, Spotted Trout lettuce and Goldie tomato seeds from the Hudson Valley Seed Library. The chocolate cake below has a surprise ingredient that happens to be one of my favorite root vegetables- beets! I’m going to have to find another occasion to make cake… tres leches is already on the menu for today!
