I took the weekend off from move-in chores and hightailed it up to Sugarloaf with my boyfriend to attend a beautiful mountainside wedding. I’ve had the unwrapped wedding gift box sitting in my room just waiting for this weekend to come, but I didn’t have enough of one wrapping paper to cover the whole thing. I was ready to go buy a large roll of new paper, but then got caught up in the move. One of the perks of moving into my father’s house with Blair has been the unexpected treasures that pop out of closets or the forgotten bottom drawer of a bureau. One such surprise was a gorgeous roll of the original wallpaper that is now hanging on by a thread in the dining room. Score! The palm frawn pattern looks like it is probably hand screen printed. The soft neutral palette is very wedding appropriate and I love a vintage find! With a pop of blue ribbon and a simple gold card I was wedding ready.
I have a couple more corners to tackle before a final room reveal and I’m excited to see what other vintage finds we may uncover.
Happy Monday! Hayley
