The launch of Sea Salt + Chambray (SS+C) is an exciting milestone for Hayley and me! We have so much we want to do and give, and it starts here. We have always been best friends, but if we’re being completely honest sometimes being sisters didn’t feel like being friends at all- and even after sharing a room for 13 years we still loved the sleepovers it took to bring you SS+C!
Together we have been working quietly, and furiously, behind-the-scenes of the website splash page to polish up our little blog for you. It has involved some especially awesome people, particularly our rock star coder, Shannon Perry, and photographer, Meredith Brockington. We are delighted to finally say “Hello, World!” and share our inspirations, adventures, favorite designs, recipes, and styles with you every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
To start things off, we’d like to share a little DIY present with you. Literally.
Hayley’s friends got hitched recently, and being the Chief Creative Officer of Everything Artsy around here, she made her own card and wood grain wrapping paper to fit the personality of the newlyweds. To make your own tree-inspired wrapping paper, all you need is brown paper (an inside out grocery bag will work, if it’s a small package!), masking tape, a paintbrush and acrylic paint. Et Voilà!
